The 14th Strawberry Shorts Film Festival in Cambridge has awarded the highly respected Audience Award to Phone Box. This is the second win for the film after playing in only four festivals since premeiring at the 33rd Vancouver International Film Festival in October 2014.
The Cambridge audience, after a lively 20 minutes voted by a majority for Phone Box. "With fantastic camera work and strong performances from the actors, it touched raw emotions and certainly resonated with many of us." commended panel judge Jack Toye.
All of the rest of the films received votes and in a way, all were winners, being accepted for festival entry out of the 450 submissions received.
Phone Box, written by Angelo Eidse and directed & produced by Alan Powell, has screened in India, Canada and United Kingdom to date with more screenings anticapated before the end of the year.
